Momma

Momma is the progenitor of most of the cats in our house, and they are all available for adoption. When we moved into our current house, she was living either nearby or underneath, We worked hard to gain her trust and could occasionally pet her. She eventually got comfortable enough to bring her kittens Shanks and Evee around. We are not sure if they ever had siblings. We were able to catch them but momma was smart and would not be caught. After having her second litter we were able to use them to catch her and fix her as well.

Momma is very shy like her daughter Evee, but less so. I frequently see her playing and cuddling with a myriad of the other cats in our home. She made friends with  Bats before we ever even knew she had kittens. She is a lover of other cats and enjoys being inside and having friends. We can still occasionally pet her but she is very skittish and wary, not fully trusting of us. Cats, on the other hand, she loves a lot. I do recommend her to go with Evee and Shanks so she stays with family and can live her life out with her first litter.

I'm not sure what happened to Momma before we found her to make her so fearful of humans and pass that on to her children, but I know none of my neighbors are too great to animals. I really believe that she can become loving and show all of herself to a person one day. She, like her daughter, just needs the right environment and time. She loves being indoors and having other cats around, and I just want her to find her forever home where she can have that and be happy! Please consider adopting her if you think you can be that home.
